Bannering to Stop Line 3

We hosted a rush-hour bannering over Interstate 35W to demand construction cease on the Line 3 oil pipeline in Northern Minnesota. Through chants, speeches, and collection of petition signatures, the CJC urged commuters to tell their elected officials, namely President Biden, to immediately stop the destruction caused by Line 3. The building of the pipeline prioritizes corporate greed and the dying tar-sands industry over tribal sovereignty and environmental stability. Water is life, and the threat of oil leaks and wetland destruction near the headwaters of the Mississippi River mean this project could cause harm to millions living downstream. The Climate Justice Committee stands with the water protectors of northern Minnesota, and all those fighting environmental and cultural oppression. Thanks for everyone who came out.
